1) Habib Bank Limited: HBL is Pakistan’s largest bank and has been operational since 1947. It has over 1,700 branches all over Pakistan as well as offices in London, New York, and Hong Kong. HBL was also named the Best Bank in Asia by The Asian Banker in 2017.
2) Muslim Commercial Bank Limited: MCB was founded back in 1941 and today it is one of Pakistan’s leading commercial banks with over 1,500 branches nationwide. MCB was also recognized as the ‘Best Retail Financial Services Provider’ at the 2018 Asiamoney Awards ceremony held in Hong Kong.
3) Allied Bank Limited: Allied Bank Ltd (ABL) was founded back in 1959 and today it operates more than 1,200 branches across Pakistan. ABL has been awarded several times for its excellence including being conferred with ‘The Best Digital Banking Award’ by World Finance Magazinein 2016 .
4) UnitedBank Ltd.: UBL is another Pakistani bank that has enjoyed success on an international level. Founded way back in 1950, UBL now operates more than 1,600 domestic and foreign branches worldwide . The bank won ‘The Asian-Pacific Award for Excellence’ at The Asian-Pacific Achievement Awards Ceremony held last year .
5) NationalBank ofPakistan: NBP enjoys immense popularity not just domestically but internationally as well due to its expansive network comprising of nearly 2,000 domestic plus foreign branches/representative offices spread across 39 countries around six continents . NBP bagged two awards this year – ‘The Most Innovative Islamic Financial Institution’ & ‘The Fastest Growing Local Currency Brand’ – at Global Islamic Finance Awards 2018 ceremony held recently .
